Moonface Media Farm began in January of 2001 as a freelance digital editing service. It has since grown to include DVD authoring, compression services, compositing and videography.
Founder and director Michael Volkening began his video career in 1977 at Consolidated Cable Television as the first employee in their first television studio. He produced, directed, shot and edited a wide variety of programming including live news and sporting events, telethons, music and corporate presentations. By 1985 he found himself managing three districts, in a tie, and missing the creative process. So...
From 1985-95 he focused post production as assistant editor at Centel Post (for about a year), and senior editor at Video Impressions in Aurora, IL. From 1995-2001 he was director of video services at MaxComm, Inc. in Dundee, IL.
In 2001 he decided to muster his years of experience and reputation and start his own business. Now it's all this.

A word about how we do business...
"Our goal is to provide a collaborative, creative and casual environment, be it here on the media farm or on location, where personal attention to detail, craftsmanship and open dialog with the client can produce an entertaining and efficient story we can all be proud of, while never using a sentence this long."
Michael Volkening, Director
